How To Have A Good Blog Topic?

I actually made this blog simply because of one reason... guess what? You're right, I don't have any topic on my blog to talk about. You know it's very hard to have a blog and not to know what you're going to do with it. Not having a topic to talk about on your blog is a major problem, actually, I think it is the biggest and worst problem a blogger could have. Because, come on, you're going to have your blog but you don't know what you're going to do with it, that's stupid! Anyways, I'm acting stupid (aren't I?) so I think I should start talking about my "effoertless" topic

What Are The Ways To Find A Good Blog Topic?

Oh, wait, before we proceed to the main discussion, let me first clarify that the tips on finding a good blog topic is not mine, I've just searched it and found it on the Internet. I don't want to be accused of stealing works...

So now, here are the tips:

Tip No. 1: Subscribing to RSS Feeds to find Good Blog Topics

Keep yourself informed with news similar to what you’d write about, by subscribing to other blogs with topics similar to your own. This is a good way to keep informed everyday and see what everyone else is blogging about. I personally use iGoogle to keep track of website feeds.

Tip No. 2: Using Google Anayltics to Find Good Blog Topics

Google Analytics will tell you how people found your site on search engines. I’ll use searched keywords to discover it really have effictively covered that topic or not. In fact even this post “How to Find Good Blog Topics” I noticed it had been searched for yet, I had no effectively covered the topic.

and, lastly, Tip No. 3: Using Keyword Tools to Find Good Topics

I currently prefer SeoBook’s Keyword tool to discover new blog topics. It’ll take your one word phrase and find the top searched phrases for a given keyword. Use these phrases to find good topics to write about.

A Whole New World?!

Hello, this blog is all about the Internet and it contains certain surveys about the Internet.

I created this blog because I want to know what other people feel or what are their thoughts whenever they are using the Internet. I knew that you might think it's kinda stupid to focus on this topic because it's very obvious that people tend to feel very relieved upon using the Internet because the information that they need are already in front of them, they just have to copy and paste them. But, I wanted to go deeper than that. By the way, before we start, I want to clarify that this is not a case study... I'm just conducting a survey on my friends and relatives and, um, create a little conclusion on the results.

To start, I want to share my own thoughts first. Well, whenever I'm using the Internet, I really feel so up-to-date or what others commonly know as "in". It's kind of helpful because I have lots of stories, trivia, gossips and I can also share my newly downloaded mp3 music with all of my friends. And sometimes I got to know things my friends don't, like 'hey, did you know that the largest egg in the world is the ostrich's egg?'. Um, well not certainly that kind of thing... He he'. Internet really made my life change (no doubt!). I can also say that I'm like entering a new world. A world where everything is available, almost. This is the reason that I made this blog, because I want to know if others also feel what I feel or there's just something wrong with me.
Like what I've said before, the survey on this blog was conducted only to my friends and relatives. I only asked three questions. The following were:
  1. What do you feel whenever you're using the Internet?
  2. What would you prefer, Internet or book?
  3. Can you say that you are entering a new world when you are using the Internet?

These three questions, I think, can make a good conclusion and answer to my own question.

Now to the results:

With the first question, 'what do you feel when you're using the Internet?'. Almost all of the persons that I asked about that question told me that they don't exactly feel a thing when they were using the Internet. It's like normal. 'It's the way of the world ', they said. But of course I asked them another question because I don't want to be weird, 'do you feel relieved when you are using the Internet?'. All of them said yes (thank goodness they felt something!) but, they also told me that, sometimes, Internet is not that much of a help especially when they can't find a mp3 downloadable of their favorite music (well, I understand them about that...) and some of the information that they need are not all available in the Internet, they also added (for proof, I also had that experience, when I am searching for the biography of a female Filipino author, I just forgot her name).

Well, after hearing their answers I felt bad, for the reason that my next questions might end up like this too. Null. Anyways, if I were to give the first question a percentage, it would be 50%.Actually, it should have been 0% because all their answers did not match mine but because I asked another question and because they answered it correctly ("correctly" because the answer that they gave to me is the answer that want to hear from them). so it will be 50%.

The second question, 'what do you prefer, Internet or book?'. Too bad for this question too, my premonition was right! They told me that they would still prefer to have books. They told me that Internet was a good way to get informed and be entertained but nothing beats the books (Unfortunately, I have to agree). I then started to think at that moment, 'why did I created this survey anyway? It's non-sense!', but still I have to continue with it, I need this for my blog! And I need my blog! I did gave any additional and follow up question because I felt dumb for this. And I also thought that my next question might be a stupid one again.

If I were to give it a percentage, hm, I think it would be 40%? He he, 40% because if you are to analyze their answer, they also told me that Internet was a good way to be informed and entertained, so I gave it a 40%. Is it fair?

Now off to the final and last question, 'Can you say that you are in a new world when you are using the Internet?'. All of them said 'Partly?!' (ha ha, at last!). They told me that they feel like they are entering a new world because, like me, almost all of the information that they need are available in it and because of it, it's like another world because here, people should normally work hard to get what they want. I felt happy because at last their answer is right. I again did not asked another question because I might be disappointed again, and I don't want to be disappointed!

At last, I'm done and if I were to give this a percentage, I would say it would be a 90%! Well, this is because their answers are so correct! That's what I want to hear. And because of that I am so happy with their answers.

To conclude, I would say that Internet really is an amazing discovery. It made a lot of changes and helped a lot to us but because of its popularity and because its very common, it became so normal to people that they regard it as a part of their lives. Normal lives.

If you want to answer my questions and want to give voice to your ideas, just comment back, OK? Thanks!

ONE SIMPLE CLICK, ONE BIG CHANGE

My first major blog would be an advertisement of an I.T. and computer related product which is very helpful and environmental friendly. This is going to be very helpful to us especially right now that our world revolves around computers and also to those persons who are on a computer related job.

Featuring, the Ecobutton™.

I know many of us right now are very aware of the problems and obstacles we are facing. U.S. has an issue about their economy, the Chinesse products that has a dangerous chemical, melamim and the infamous rising-of-the-gasoline-prices issue worlwide and many more. Among them is, theoretically, one of the most disastrous and dangerous one - Global Warming.

This is where the ecobutton™ comes in. With a simple push of the button, you have saved money, energy and, ofcourse, saved the Earth.

Ecobutton™ works by simply putting your computer on a special mode famously known as the "Eco Mode". This mode of your computer is also equivalent when shutting down your computer,
The ecobutton™ acts as a strong visual reminder and prompt for you to save electricity each time your computer is going to be left idle. The ecobutton™ is illuminated and sits on your table/desk top next to your keyboard. It connects to your computer via a USB cable. Each time you take a short or long break, a phone call, go for a meeting etc. you simply press the ecobutton™ and your computer is put into energy saving 'ecomode' which ensures that both your computer and monitor draw only the same nominal power as when they are shut down!

Under normal circumstances people generally do not like turning off their computers due to the time it often takes to restart. However, with ecobutton™ by simply pressing any key on your keyboard (some computers require a momentary press of the power button) your computer instantly returns to where you left off.

There's also an additional bonus, each time your computer is put into 'ecomode' the clever ecobutton™ software records how many carbon units and how much power and money you have saved by using the ecobutton™. Over time this can add up to quite a lot (especially if you have many computers running in an office) and you can use this data to help reduce your carbon footprint as well as your energy bills.
